About me

I am self-motivated and able to manage a team, as well as plan for and solve complex legal problems. I am adept at negotiating contracts, litigating contract disputes when the parties disagree, and advise on compliance issues in the financial sector. I have been a lawyer for Sweden’s most prestigious dispute resolution group at Vinge, as well as EQT, a top level private equity firm.

Professional Experience

Independent International Arbitration Expert 2023-Present

I advise clients as an independent expert in international arbitration. I also continue to teach on an adjunct basis.

Doctoral Candidate, Stockholm University 2015-2023

I was a researcher and teacher. My research compares the concept of excess of mandate in US and Swedish international commercial arbitration law. I have taught courses on many subjects. In particular, international dispute resolution, negotiation, and remedies.

Senior Associate, Vinge, Stockholm 2009–2014

I was employed as a Senior Associate in the top dispute resolution group in Sweden. I practiced primarily in the area of international commercial arbitration, but also advised on general corporate matters relating to multiple national laws. In my first year, the firm tapped me to be lead lawyer on a $1m sales dispute between a Bulgarian company and a German company in the Agribusiness sector. Following that, I was one of three lawyers dealing with a multi-million dollar technology licensing dispute between an American company and a Chinese company, and a $1b oil and gas dispute between an American and Russian company. These are only a few of the disputes I was involved in.

Secondee, EQT Partners, STockholm 2011–2012

I helped the firm navigate international compliance and ethics issues under the US Dodd-Frank Act, which was enacted after the financial crisis of 2007 and 2008. During this process, I regularly coordinated with the CFO, COO, and General Counsel.

Law Clerk, Wilkerson & Hegna LLP, Minneapolis 2006–2007

I worked as a law clerk for a boutique real estate litigation firm.
